Let us help you migrate to Prosody X

Now is undoubtedly the right time to migrate to Aculab’s Prosody X media processing platform. Prosody PCI and Prosody cPCI cards, including Passive monitor options, will be withdrawn from sale by 31st December 2008. All variants of Prosody PCI and Prosody cPCI are affected. Aculab has a wide choice of readily available hardware alternatives to offer in Prosody X. These application code compatible boards are already in worldwide use, having achieved widespread success since their introduction in 2006. To discuss your Prosody last-time buy options and Prosody X development purchase, contact your Aculab Account Manager.

High performance signalling protocol software now available from Aculab

Now available, Aculab’s SS7 and SIGTRAN is part of its extensive range of signalling protocols, allowing users to connect switching, media processing and signalling platforms directly to a carrier’s network – via TDM and/or IP-based signalling transport. The SS7 and SIGTRAN protocols are suitable for worldwide deployment using the complete range of Aculab’s cPCI, PCI and PCIe boards, many of which are combined with media processing resources to bring tremendous value for developers and systems integrators. Aculab's SS7 signalling products use dual MTP3/M3UA and distributed ISUP/TCAP architectures to support essential redundancy, automatic failover, load sharing and signalling offload.

Announcing cumulative software releases from Aculab

Aculab is pleased to announce that we will implement a fixed term software release schedule, beginning in November, 2008. Historically, software releases have been done in a somewhat piecemeal fashion; to meet persistent customer demand rather than to a planned schedule. Understanding the benefit to you, we will continue to provide interim software releases, largely as before, however, in addition on a twice yearly basis, we are going to synchronise a cumulative release of software component versions.

Cumulative releases will be clearly identifiable as a package in the Aculab installation tool (AIT) – a full suite of Aculab software, assimilating changes made since the previous release. Users will still be able to download older component versions via the AIT. Additionally, users will have the option of downloading releases made between cumulative releases, as these will also be selectable from the AIT.

Think of cumulative releases as a stake in the ground – a benchmark release – allowing you to make a more informed choice about the software you download.
