IVP (Intelligent Voice Peripheral) is an interactive voice response (IVR) solution from Volt Delta International. Optimised for voice processing and switching functionality in the directory assistance service sector, IVP enables automation of the back end of directory assistance calls, e.g. audio release and call completion, as well as front end of directory assistance calls, e.g. store&forward. With its fault-redundant architecture, IVP is able to provide uninterrupted service, with the failure of a single hardware unit having no impact on availability. It delivers high scalability, allowing the number of voice channels in operation to be easily increased by introducing additional IVPs into the running system. IVP can be integrated with a multitude of different switches and/or PBXs using the standards ISDN, E1, T1 and even analogue interconnections. The prompting language is determined solely by the recordings, thereby allowing support of all languages � and even multiple languages simultaneously.
