This year, ACE 2008 and 85 delegates, consisting of Aculab’s customers, partners and prospects, together with industry gurus and analysts, descended upon Scottsdale for three days of networking and education underneath the warm Arizona sunshine.
As promised, the event delivered an informative agenda covering key topics affecting the communications market today, as well as providing the opportunity to delve into the detail of achieving maximum benefit from using Aculab’s technology. A mix of external speakers, customer case studies and opinions, blended with information and education from Aculab's 25 strong contingent, provided an extremely interesting and informative agenda. One of the highlights of the agenda was the keynote address delivered by Michael Vickers – a truly inspiring and thought-provoking session for all.
A prime objective of ACE is to provide a networking environment for representatives of the communications industry from a broad range of countries and industry sectors, bringing them together to exchange views and share business strategies. With representation from all corners of the world, ACE was a truly multicultural, multinational affair. The event kicked off with a golf tournament, sponsored by NEI and also provided a taste of the Wild West with a night at the Pioneer Ranch in Phoenix, where delegates enjoyed fun and games and a tasty, cowboy style BBQ.
With over 150 companies now developing and deploying solutions based on Aculab’s Prosody X platform, there was no shortage of discussions about the next leading edge applications that will utilise Aculab’s technology. Since Prosody X was introduced, developers using Aculab’s products have seen phenomenal success in sectors such as conferencing, fax, contact centres and military applications. The reasons for these successes were explored and it became clear that the potential of Prosody X and Prosody S goes far beyond these sectors. It is the combination of a world beating product and the technical flexibility, responsiveness and support that Aculab provides that gives its customers the edge in a competitive market.
Over the last eight years ACE has progressed from being an Aculab partner event to a much broader communications industry event. Before the last delegates had departed from Scottsdale, partners and leaders were already vying for the opportunity to both sponsor and showcase at ACE 2009.
