Hardware options and compatibility
Aculab is always seeking to improve the performance of its products and new revision level cards are introduced from time to time for a variety of reasons. These may range from the straightforward accommodation of component obsolescence to the introduction of new features and functionality, often in response to customer requests.
Customers are encouraged to conduct their own quality assurance (QA) testing as a sensible precaution to ensure backwards compatibility of new revision cards with existing applications and platform configurations. As new server platforms are constantly being introduced by manufacturers, this applies equally to the compatibility of older revision cards when fitted to new model servers.
Aculab's test processes, including external evaluation trials, are no guarantee of interoperability in specific system configurations and no such warranty is provided.

Telephony software, device driver or firmware changes, whilst typically transparent to the user, may be necessary for new revision cards. If this is the case, the new software will be released in advance of, or at least coincident with, the card introduction. To check compatibility of telephony software and associated software or firmware components, see the applicable release notes, which may be viewed via the Aculab installation tool ( AIT) – available from software downloads.
Owing to the dynamic nature of our business, software releases are regularly updated and therefore Aculab provide the opportunity to subscribe to an email notification service to advise of the availability of new software.
