| Aim: |
To
familiarise C programmers with the structure and function
of basic Aculab CT applications as compared to those of
Dialogic CT applications. |
| Objectives: |
When
the prerequisites have been met and the course has been
successfully completed participants will be able to:
a)
Compare and contrast the programming models employed
when writing Aculab and Intel (Dialogic) applications
b) Identify the relationship between an application,
the operating system, the device drivers and the hardware
c) Install and configure Aculab hardware, testing for
success
d) Describe connections made to Aculab components in
terms of trunk, CT bus and host bus connections
e) Explain the concept and structure of a simple CT
application
f) Discuss the way Aculab and Intel (Dialogic) applications
handle Media resources
g) Demonstrate familiarity with the structure of Aculab’s
generic API
h) Compare Aculab and Intel (Dialogic) API calls where
possible
i) Compare the way Aculab and Dialogic applications
manipulate audio files
j) Write simple CT applications to include: receiving
and making calls, playing prompts, recording speech
and detecting DTMF signals |
