In many countries it is possible to obtain Host Independent type approval, such that the access card may be integrated into PC based solutions without further telecom approvals being required.
In regions where this option is not available, each complete customer solution will need to be submitted for approval, and Aculab has experience in supporting integrators in gaining such system level type approvals.
A summary table of the approvals and protocol information can be viewed as a PDF file by clicking on the adjacent logo (163kb). Please note that a number of protocols are used throughout the world, (like DPNSS, QSIG and SS7) and are indexed as "Worldwide" in the tables.
Protocols marked ' ' in the tables below are compatible with Aculab's Passive Monitor products based upon the E1/T1 digital network access card or the Prosody PCI card. In the case of Canada and the USA in the table, the applicable protocols are T1 Q.931/Q.932 based ISDN protocols only.

Notes:
1 Aculab’s SS7 software provides a flexible option through which the user can define other national and international ISUP variants to meet specific needs.
Aculab products, that are 'host independent' approved for connection to the public network
Notes:
1 Primary rate modules PM4/2/1 are used on E1/T1 PCI, Prosody PCI, Prosody cPCI, and Passive monitor PCI cards. A PMX/PMXC module is used on Prosody X card variants. A DSP 65 module is required for DTMF and CAS tone signalling (excluding Prosody X card variants). View the product pages on Aculab's website or contact your Account Manager for details of configuration options available.
