Software activation

The Aculab software can be downloaded free of charge, but the Prosody S (host media processing) software and SIGTRAN software require licences for activation. An automated activation server is available to allow you to generate licence keys. The licensing process flowchart describes the steps required to obtain and activate a licence.

Product and feature licences are purchased through your Aculab Account Manager. Contact us to discuss your requirements. Once you have purchased licences you will be given a login account  for our licence activation system to enable you to manage your licences. The system login page is here.

If you are evaluating our Prosody S or SIGTRAN software,  evaluation licences are available for new and existing customers to download free of charge using this link - obtain evaluation licence. (Note: Microsoft IE7 or later, or other browsers such as Firefox 3.x should be used to access the licensing system).

Manually installing code signing certificates

Aculab's device drivers for Windows are digitally signed.  They can be installed in an unattended ("headless") fashion if Aculab's code signing certificates have been installed previously.

For attended installs, certificates will be installed automatically if you agree to the "Always trust Aculab PLC" dialog box during driver install.

For an unattended installation, Aculab's certificates must be installed in the Trusted Publisher store of the local machine. Manually installed certificates are stored in the Trusted Publisher store of the current user by default.

To install the code signing certificates:

  • Download the appropriate certificate from the links below
  • Right click on the .cer file
  • Click "Install certificate"
  • A dialog box appears asking which store to place the certificate in:
  • Select "Place all certificates in the following store"
  • Click "Browse"
  • Select "Show physical stores"
  • Expand "Trusted Publishers"
  • Select "Local Computer"
  • Click OK

This can also be performed using the CertUtil utility like this:

    certutil -addstore -f "TrustedPublisher" \path\to\cert\file

Download Aculab's code signing certificates from these links.  Right click these links and choose "Save Target As" or "Save Link As":

If in doubt, download and install all the available Aculab certificates.
