What are the pin-outs of an Aculab RJ45 network line interface connector?
The pin outs are:
Pin 1 - Line receive (tip) - input
Pin 2 - Line receive (ring) - input
Pin 3 - Receive cable shield
Pin 4 - Line transmit (tip) - output
Pin 5 - Line transmit (ring) - output
Pin 6 - Transmit cable shield
A 'cross-over' cable is required to connect two T1 ports 'back-to-back', for example, when one port is to run an exchange end emulation and the other port a user end application. The cable should be wired as follows.
| User end | Exchange end |
|---|---|
| 4 | 1 |
| 5 | 2 |
| 1 | 4 |
| 2 | 5 |
