2017-09-26 New software stripe release for Linux distributions, v6.7

26th September 2017

Aculab is pleased to announce the release of updated telephony software components, for Linux distributions, following successful QA testing. We strongly advise you to update to these new versions.

It should be noted that version 6.7 software is 64-bit only. The new stripe supports cumulative bug fixes and improvements, and includes the new licensing tools that were recently introduced with version 6.6 software.

The Linux version of the 6.7 software is designed for use on 64-bit Linux distributions running v3 or v4 kernels.

In addition, the 6.7 stripe release has been fully tested with the following VM environments:
  • VMWare vSphere ESXi
  • Microsoft Hyper-V 2012

The latest 6.7 full release supports the following media processing products from Aculab – Prosody S version 3, revision 3 Prosody X PCIe boards, and the Prosody X 1U chassis, both Enterprise and HA variants.

The updated telephony software components, together with release notes, are now available for download via the Aculab installation tool (AIT) which is available on the software downloads page of Aculab’s website.

Please note that we have also introduced a 64-bit version of the AIT and we advise the use of this new version for these 64-bit 6.7 packages.

Customers can download the software components using the AIT from the UK and US servers that host the software libraries now.

Users of the AIT do not need a password and user name to run the installation package and download Aculab software. However, Aculab strongly recommends that users employ a unique, company specific user name and password.
